Well I know that the Detroit area is one of the toughest around, so that is probably one of the reasons why there are so many foreclosures there. Not to put a downer on what you were saying, but that’s the truth.

You’re right — there are some great deals to be had in Michigan. Detroit is one of the tougher markets, too, like the other commenter stated, but the depressed values around there are helping to create deals throughout the state. And in terms of nature and scenery, the Midwest simply can be beat, and Michigan is a great state to live in or own a property in.
